Greenline Kacerov Office complex opens in Prague

Vienna, 26 June 2015 – Realised by PORR on time, on budget and in high quality, the Greenline Kačerov office complex, a highly demanding building in terms of construction and technology, officially opened yesterday. The project was green-lighted in spring 2013 when the Austrian investor group Karimpol charged PORR’s Czech subsidiary with the construction before work began in April 2013. Total investment value: around EUR 35m.

Situated in an attractive location with a direct exit to the Prague motorway in the direction of Brno and good links to public infrastructure, the new office complex has lettable space of around 15,000m² across four underground and eight overground storeys. The site stands out for the quality of its architecture, particularly the impressive north facade, which has been fitted with special sound insulation as it faces the busy Prague motorway. A large part of the facade has customised soundproofing panels which eliminate acoustic reflections of the road opposite. A cylindrical glass front provides an impressive face for the building, while extensive roof gardens have been planned for the rooftops and terraces. The project has been awarded the LEED GOLD Certificate for environmentally friendly projects.

"PORR considers it a genuine vote of confidence that the Karimpol Group entrusted our Czech subsidiary with the construction of this sophisticated building complex. Right from the start the focus of the project has been on quality control – one of our strengths. With Karimpol’s comprehensive market knowledge and our extensive experience and expertise as a general contractor, we have successfully realised this top property and are de-lighted that it officially opened yesterday – exactly on schedule”, said Karl-Heinz Strauss, CEO of PORR AG.

Andreas Prokes, joint owner of the Karimpol Group, said: “Our longstanding cooperation with PORR in Poland and the Czech Republic has paid off once again. We managed to find a common language when solving even the most complex of questions and we are already looking forward to realising our next projects together”.
