The topping-out ceremony took place in the presence of representatives of the Bernische Pensionskasse and Gangloff Immobilien AG in the completed shell. Everyone is very pleased with the flawless result of the work on site and the early completion of the shell. This makes it possible to achieve the set goals of the tight construction schedule together with all project participants. The topping-out ceremony was appreciated by the guests with great applause.
Modern residential quarter in an excellently developed location
The residential building consists of three interconnected parts: A tower in the west with eight storeys, a lying structure in the north with seven storeys, and an angular building in the south and east with four storeys. The robustness and simplicity of the clinker brick façade and the horizontal formats of the window divisions are reminiscent of the former industrial use. A special feature of this clinker facade is the use of glass fibre concrete and belt strips. The building is certified according to the Minergie standard.
On the upper floors, high-quality living space with a total of 178 flats and two ateliers will be created on approximately 9,600 m². In addition, a commercial area of around 2,500 m² will be used for retail and services to meet the needs of the surrounding neighbourhood.
